The Redwing’s Nest, Sabot at Stony Point’s new online journal of Art and Literature for children pre-school through 8th grade, is now accepting submissions for the Alpha issue until February 10, 2011. The journal's website is under construction and will premiere in late February.
The theme for this introductory issue is PLACE. If your child has written a poem, a memoir, a story or created a work of art about a place, we would love to receive it. The Redwing's Nest is open to children from around the globe, so tell your friends.
The submissions are selected by a review committee made up of Sabot at Stony Point Middle School students.
Please send literary arts as Word docs and visual arts as jpegs (good quality images). Save the files with your child's name, title of work and Art or Lit in the file name. For example, kerrymills_The River_ART.jpeg.

The Beta issue is themed Music and Sound. Submissions are due April 1.
